POSITION DESCRIPTION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
REPORTS TO: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER
DIRECT REPORTS: AS ASSIGNED BY ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide electrical power distribution and system design supporting all Feyen Zylstra service offerings across all branch office locations. In addition to design, provide conceptual budgeting information and cost analysis assistance with existing projects as needed. This position will require strong interpersonal and technical skills.
THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Low voltage power distribution design for industrial and commercial markets including coordination of design with Utility Companies.
Emergency power generation.
Fire alarm system design.
Industrial and commercial lighting design and modeling.
Coordination of design to include all required technology, communication, building management and security and audio-visual systems:
Drawing development using AutoCAD/Revit design software.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of building material and equipment cost.
Knowledge of building construction methods, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
Ability to prepare conceptual designs based on minimal information and specifications.
Ability to work well with others to gather information.
Ability to professionally communicate project needs to assigned staff in a highly stressed environment.
Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer relations skills.
Open to change based on diverse input and feedback.
Strong mathematical skills.
Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit design software.
Ability and commitment to meet deadlines.
Willing to travel (as needed for projects).

Lead with a positive attitude.
Five or more years of relevant design and/or electrical engineering experience.
Bachelor of Science from an Accredited Electrical Engineering Program.
