Feyen Zylstra is looking for a BIM COORDINATOR for our GRAND RAPIDS, MI location. This is a full-time 1st shift position, reporting to the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager. This role is responsible for creating detailed, accurate, and easy-to-uselayout drawings and three-dimensional models of our electrical systemsconsistent with company standards, commitments, and project goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
3D BIM modeling and coordination of electrical systems.
Work with VDC Layout Coordinators on electrical systems
BIM modeling of electrical equipment and conduit racks.
Create installation drawings for all layouts.
Coordinate with other trades including virtual or on-site meetings.
Support prefabrication process.
Creating prefab orders based on Bluebeam and BIM layout for all systems required.
Creating detailed shop drawings of electrical room / panel assemblies.
Updating Bluebeam Studio projects with accurate drawings, models, and information.
Revit family building and modification on an as-needed basis for individual projects and standardization.
Perform/assist with project work as needed.
Must be self-directed and able to work efficiently and in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two year degree in CAD preferred.
Experience with Autodesk Revit, Autocad, and Navisworks.
Knowledge of BIM 360 Glue.
Understanding of blueprint reading, general construction, and electrical systems and installations.
Proficiency with Windows OS, iOS, and MS Office.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact,diplomacy, influence, etc.)
