    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Reporting Manager will execute and manage the financial reporting process and function for the bank. This role will maintain both financial and regulatory reporting practices, maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and regulatory rules, and will provide audit and tax support to the team.

    Performance Objectives

    •Oversee and manage the process of delivering all financial reporting for the bank, including the annual report, board and Asset/Liability Committee reporting packages, and call reports.

    •Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, communicating with applicable managers and supervisors regarding variances from budget or other significant items.

    •Serve as the liaison to outside accountants regarding the preparation of year-end audited financial statements and collaborate with CFO and Controller to ensure compliance with FIDICA standards.

    •Research and interpret new technical accounting regulatory pronouncements. Evaluate and advise regarding their financial and operational impact to the bank.

    •Draft and update GAAP accounting or regulatory policies and procedures and monitor their implementation to ensure the utmost accuracy in preparation of financial statements and all other financial and regulatory reports.

    •Become a subject matter expert in specialized accounting applications relating to SBA lending, secondary market sales, and loan participations.

    •Provide support to a variety of internal customers with regard to reports (routine and ad-hoc), questions, and data requests.

    Background Profile:

    •5+ years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, either at a financial institution or auditing financial institutions at a public accounting firm, with an emphasis in financial reporting. Internal or external audit experience is a strong plus.

    •High level of technical expertise in FASB and GAAP Accounting as well as Asset / Liability Management.

    •CPA required.

    •Keen analytical, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.

    •Technology savvy with experience and advanced knowledge of accounting software. Experience with FISERV Precision and/or FISERV Business Analytics a strong plus

    •Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to pull and analyze data using Macros and Pivot Tables.

    •Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.

    •Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
