Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the production line is operational by performing preventative and recovery maintenance to minimize downtime and support production goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: Actively monitor the assigned production line areas to ensure they are operating as required Work on multiple types of equipment including mechanical, electrical, PLC, and others Troubleshoot equipment issues using technical manuals, schematics, and other sources Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to minimize downtime with preventative and recovery maintenance Create and maintain documentation and user guides to support the production and engineering teams on maintenance requirements for equipment Support the training of production and engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot and/or address basic maintenance Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities: Troubleshoot equipment using root cause analysis techniques Interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts to support troubleshooting and implementing solutions in collaboration with production and engineering Demonstrated can-do, will-do approach Ability to work independently and with initiative
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands: Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required for safety Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
