Fiber Optic Puller – Field Crew Position
No experience required
Join a fast‑moving fiber team installing underground cable across New Mexico. This is a hands‑on, physical field role where you’ll learn how to pull fiber, operate equipment, and support real telecom construction projects.
What You’ll Do
Pull and blow fiber optic cable through conduit, vaults, pedestals, and duct
Set up pulling equipment, prep job sites, and maintain safe work zones
Operate fiber blowers, hydraulic pullers, and other tools
Apply proper tension to protect fiber and prevent damage
Read diagrams and work orders to ensure correct routing
Drive to job sites and work outdoors
Communicate with foremen and crews to meet project goals
Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance
Assist with potholing, setup, cleanup, and general crew tasks
Prevent utility conflicts and maintain organized, compliant work areas
What You Need
No experience required — we will train you
Willingness to learn fiber pulling and safe installation practices
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew
Ready for outdoor work and physical labor
Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
