    Job Description

    The Strategic Assistant to the CEO is responsible for supporting the business and financial objectives of FiberVisions by maximizing the reach and effectiveness of the CEO through management of information, communication, and time.

    The position serves as an extension of the CEO to others, including internal and parent company executives, employees, customers, and vendors.  The work is varied, and both strategic and administrative in nature.  As such, it requires a strong business acumen, resourcefulness, and superior organizational and communication skills.  

    It is expected that, through self-motivation, relationship-building, and performance, the Strategic Assistant will position himself/herself to be promoted into a fitting departmental position within the organization.

    Strategic Responsibilities

    • Take on special and/or cross-functional projects, allowing CEO to focus on broader organizational objectives.
    • Perform Chief-of-Staff function, acting as sounding board for CEO, discussing issues, ideas, and initiatives.
    • Create and edit presentations which may require market research and data gathering.
    • Prepare and/or edit emails, letters, proposals, press releases, and reports for CEO.
    • Track, compile, and synthesize financial data, reports, and presentations containing inputs from multiple parties.
    • Assess inquiries and concerns directed at CEO, including those of a sensitive and confidential nature; determine proper course of action, including resolution, referral, or delegation.
    • Participate in regular leadership meetings.
    • Improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success.

    Administrative Responsibilities

    Provide high-level administrative support to Company CEO and corporate office, including:

    • Maintain CEO’s calendar
    • Prepare agendas and arrangements for committee, board, and other meetings.
    • Manage and administer Corporate Card & Travel programs, including enforcement and adaptations to company policies; own the relationships with our travel & bank vendors and act as the point person for employee inquiries.
    • Arrange domestic and global travel for CEO, CFO, and visitors, including flight, hotel, ground transportation, and restaurant, as necessary. For visitors, this may also include coordination of suitable entertainment.
    • Plan and host meetings and events of varying types and sizes; arranging logistics and preparing materials.
    • Perform Office Manager function, including ordering supplies, greeting visitors, and managing relationship with building management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
    • 2+ years of professional experience
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
