• Regular Shift: This is a 2nd Shift position. The regular schedule is Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
• **Training Period Shift: **Training will take place on 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. The length of the training period may vary depending on progress. After training is complete, the schedule will transition to the regular 2nd Shift hours of 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

**Position Overview: **

****Dayton-Granger, Inc. is immediately hiring a ** Sanding & Finishing Specialist (Fiberglass or Composites Experience) **to join our production team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, direct hire role in a clean and structured aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll work with fiberglass and composite parts , performing sanding, filling, and prepping for paint. If you have sanding experience related to auto body repair, composites, fiberglass finishing, or marine surface prep , this could be a great fit for you!

We're looking for candidates with hands-on sanding/finishing and body filler experience using tools like dual action sanders and grinders , and strong attention to detail. You'll play a key role in preparing high-performance antennas to meet the industry's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sand and prepare fiberglass and composite antennas for painting and finishing

• Apply minimal body fillers and compounds to smooth part surfaces and correct minor imperfections

• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and specifications

• Use hand and power tools, including dual action sanders and grinders

• Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety protocols

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of hands-on experience with fiberglass finishing, sanding, or surface preparation

• High school diploma or GED required

• Ability to work 1st Shift hours (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) during the training period and transition to the regular 2nd Shift schedule (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) once training is complete.

• Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and blueprints

• Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and performing physical tasks

• Good vision, attention to detail, and steady hand-eye coordination

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Basic computer skills for job tracking and data entry

• Ability to wear PPE and remain on feet for extended periods

• Prior experience in aerospace, marine, or automotive finishing environments is a plus
