Fibo Kids Art Academy is hiring for multiple positions, including assembly and elementary school art teachers - both of which don't require degrees and are mornings only during the school year, as well as an Art Teacher, which does require an art degree, is year-round and is weekday afternoons and saturdays. Read the descriptions below to see which one you may be a good fit for. NOTE: You could combine a morning position (assembly or elementary school teacher with the studio art teacher for a full-time job, which would include Health Insurance). ASSEMBLY HOST (part-time, weekday mornings only, $15-18/hour) We are looking for part-time assembly hosts that travel to elementary schools throughout Orange County. This position occurs during the school year only (approximately late August to early June, and not over winter and spring break and on major holidays). You would work 3 to 4 mornings a week in the morning until lunch time. You need to have your own reliable car and be extremely professional. You will learn a script and perform the same script for 3 months, then get a new script and perform that one for 3 months etc. You will be responsible for carrying and bringing company provided supplies and equipment to the schools and setting it up and cleaning it up before/after each assembly each day. You must be very outgoing and great in front of a large group of young kids. You don't have to have any specific degree, but you do need to have some sort of history that shows that you are someone that is reliable and dedicated and have a personality that shows you are outgoing and professional and you need to be committed to the full school year and preferably future school years. We provide thorough training. ART TEACHER AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (part-time, weekday mornings only, $15-18/hour) You don't need a degree for this position either, however, you do need to be outgoing, able to learn a script, very professional, have your own car and available all weekday mornings and able to commit to the full school year. For this position, you'll be teaching approximately 2-3, 1-hour classes per day. you'll go to the same elementary school for 1 week, then switch to a different elementary school each week. You'll be teaching an ART lesson based on a famous artist. You don't have to be an artist, but it is preferable if you are or have a passion for art or art history. You won't be drawing, but you will be teaching a scripted art lesson. You need to be outgoing and able to teach a very large group of kids, so having classroom management skills and a willingness to learn our company techniques is a must. We provide thorough training. KIDS ART TEACHER (Tue-Fri 3-7 and Sat 8:45-4:45, year-round, $15-18/hour) For this position, you do need to have a degree in art or be currently obtaining one, or have a very strong portfolio that shows equivalent skills. You also need to have a history of working with/teaching children and a personality that kids will gravitate towards. This position, unlike the two above, is at a single studio location, so you'll go to the same place everyday. Also, unlike the two above, this is not just during the school year, it's year-round. So we are looking for someone that is looking to do this position long-term, hopefully for at least 2-3 years. For this position, you will teach young children how to draw and paint. We provide all curriculum, supplies and training.
