This list of tasks is illustrative only, and | | is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by | | positions in this class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it | | necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned. | | | | - Assist on maintaining Pro-Rod’s ISO 9001 certification | | - Maintain and improve Pro-Rod’s Quality Management System | | - Ensure raw and finished products meet prescribed quality standards | | - Manage non-conformances and non-conforming material/product through | | the established Control of Nonconformity and Corrective Action | | processes, including documentation, reporting, and communications to | | relevant people | | - Monitor manufacturing activities and report deviations to the | | standard production process, procedures, acceptance criteria | | and equipment. | | - Review production paperwork to ensure they’re being properly filled | | and report deviations that may have occurred during manufacturing. | | - Advise and coach coworkers on effective implementation of policies, | | procedures and work instructions. | | - Plan and monitor the calibration, certification and/or maintenance | | of measurement instruments | | - Perform failure analysis on product failures from the field | | - Assist in the development and writing of QA/QC procedures | | - Create quality reports as required by the Quality Manager and | | Operations Manager | | - Assist in FireBlade welding training | | - Provide technical expertise to 3rd party distributors and customers | | - Assist with product improvement | | - Assist in planning and implementing improvements to manufacturing | | processes | | - Assist with design and testing of new products | | - Assist in design & testing of new manufacturing equipment | | - Maintain a current keen knowledge of Pro-Rod products and services | | - Assist in developing marketing materials | | - Protect Pro-Rod intellectual property | | - Other duties as required | | | |   | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Materials Engineering Diploma / Engineering preferred
    • Education or experience in Metallurgy, Destructive & Non-Destructive testing, Failure analysis, and QA/QC would be an asset
    • Up to two years of relevant experience

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • The employee is regularly required to stand for long hours.
    • The employee regularly lifts and carries 15 lbs and occasionally lifts and carries up to 40 lbs.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
    • Candidates must successfully pas a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test and Fitness testing
