    COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

    HOLLY HUNT is a sales and service organization, as well as designer and maker of high-end interior design furniture, lighting, textiles, leather and rugs.  HOLLY HUNT’S “to the trade” customers are interior designers and architects.  85 to 90 percent of business revenue is generated from residential purchases, while 10 to 15 percent is generated from contract, corporate or hospitality purchases.

     

    POSITION PROFILE

    The Data Engineer Intern works directly with the Data Management team to build and maintain items and products in the Company’s information system.  The accuracy and completeness of this information enables sales and purchasing associates to execute key business processes in an efficient and effective manner.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work proactively and cooperatively with all vendors to gather, organize and manage up-to-date product information.
    2. Enter and maintain all products and product related information in main software system.
    3. Build product models in software system using sophisticated configurator.
    4. Responsible for data integrity related to product information.
    5. Complete a thorough audit of the Quickbooks Inventory Database.  This includes validating whether the item is discontinued, verify the price is correct and all other specification match the current web site.
    6. The Quickbooks audit will also require that any new items are added accurately to the Quickbooks database.
    7. Document a process to make sure that when items are updated that they are also updated in the Quickbooks database.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION:

    In the process of earning or just received a  bachelor’s degree in a business field (desired), or the equivalent in experience is required.

    Required Experience

    1. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and soft people skills
    2. Must have MS Suite user experience.
    3. Must have excellent organizational skills and a great attention to detail.
    4. Must have good planning and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
    5. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
    6. Previous experience using or implementing ERP system is desired.
