    Position Overview

    FMGI Inc is seeking a dependable and versatile Field Maintenance Technician with 1–3 years of construction experience. This role involves traveling to project sites to perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. Candidates should be flexible, hands-on, and comfortable working varied hours, including nights and weekends.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Overtime: Time-and-a-half for hours worked beyond 40/week

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform general maintenance and repair work across commercial sites
    • Complete carpentry tasks including finish work, framing, and sheetrock
    • Conduct painting work (breakrooms, trims, drywall finishing)
    • Execute door repairs including locksets, closures, and frames
    • Perform basic concrete repairs, including patching holes and cracks (e.g., retail garden centers and curbs)
    • Assist with minor welding repairs (Flux Core, Wire, Stick) as needed
    • Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders on-site
    • Maintain a high level of workmanship, safety, and professionalism

    Qualifications

    • 1–3 years of construction or maintenance experience preferred
    • Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
    • Welding experience is a plus
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • High level of dependability and flexibility
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

    Travel Requirements

    • Travel throughout Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi
    • Typical trips range from 1–2 days, with occasional projects lasting up to 2 weeks
