Industry Focus: Self Storage, Data Centers, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing
    Target Start: Within 4–6 Months
Employment Type: Full-Time | Project-Based Reimbursement with Leadership Trajectory

    Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Field Operations Leader with a strong background in technical construction and large team management. This role is ideal for professionals currently operating in high-capacity field leadership roles who are ready to step into a more client-facing, sophisticated leadership position. This is a long-term leadership-track role, beginning with a 10-month field deployment to Deer Park, IL, and transitioning back to HQ to influence operational culture, develop peer leadership, and support enterprise-level execution.

You will be directly responsible for the administration, supervision, and technical management of all construction activities on-site—including the oversight of 10–15 superintendents, subcontractors, and field staff. Your ability to collaborate with executive peers in Operations and Pre-Construction will be critical to success.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide on-site leadership for construction operations including field administration, technical direction, and personnel management.

    • Oversee execution of construction plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.

    • Coordinate trade work, subcontractors, and superintendents, promoting safety and team alignment.

    • Maintain daily reports and manpower tracking for all trades on-site.

    • Utilize scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred) and ensure compliance with project timelines.

    • Foster a high-performing jobsite culture while serving as a liaison between the field team, clients, and internal stakeholders.

    • Post-project, return to HQ to support peer leadership development, process improvement, and broader field operations strategy.

    Qualifications:
    • 5–10 years of experience in commercial or technical construction (e.g., self-storage, healthcare, data centers, life sciences, advanced manufacturing).

    • Proven track record managing large, multi-disciplinary teams and trade partners.

    • Builder background with strong field experience and comfort operating in fast-paced environments.

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications; detail-oriented and organized.

    • Strong communication skills and professional presence with clients and internal teams.

    • Proficient in project scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6; working knowledge of Viewpoint, Excel, and Word.

    • OSHA 10 certification required; First Aid and CPR certifications must be current.

    • Technical degree or equivalent field experience required.

    • Open to travel; prior traveling superintendent or field ops leadership experience preferred.

    Leadership Opportunity:

This is more than a project-based role—it’s a pipeline to senior field operations leadership. The selected candidate will be positioned as a “next-in-line” leader, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Operations and Pre-Construction executives. Your influence will extend beyond the jobsite to the broader field culture and peer leadership ecosystem.
