Position Summary
The Field Producer serves as BlackHouse’s local production liaison and event lead on-site, supporting logistics, vendor management, and overall execution. They are responsible for on-the-ground production duties, including managing staff, Brand Ambassadors, guest flow, equipment, rentals, and activations. Field Producers also support remote pre-production efforts and collaborate with the Production and Creative teams to ensure a smooth and successful event day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support remote pre-production including reviewing documents and attending Zoom meetings.
- Conduct and participate in venue site visits, walkthroughs, and orientation sessions.
- Coordinate and manage local vendors, AV, rentals, and on-site staff (PAs, Brand Ambassadors).
- Shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Oversee event load-in/load-out and ensure production equipment is returned or shipped as required.
- Lead staff through the execution of activation duties including swag distribution, inventory return, and trash collection.
- Manage guest relations, talent check-in, press liaison, and field operations during events.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and resolve logistical issues as needed.
- Report status and post-event wrap-up, including internal debriefs and post-event summaries.
- Maintain compliance with dress codes, contractor expectations, and technology usage policies.
- Ensure timelines, deliverables, and communication standards are upheld with the client and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of field or production coordination experience in events or activations.
- Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills; ability to lead on-site staff.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom; familiarity with Dropbox and project tracking tools (Asana a plus).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while adhering to production timelines.
- Must provide your own laptop and smartphone in good working condition with security protections in place.
- Comfortable working long days, standing for extended periods during activations and able to lift 50 pound boxes.
- Adherence to BlackHouse policies regarding confidentiality, dress code, and media restrictions.
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- Familiarity with both Mac and PC environments.
- Experience using Asana or comparable project management tools, ideal but not required.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
