JOB SUMMARY
A roofing superintendent is responsible for leading roofing foremen to perform work safely and productively per specifications and to the standards of the company and customer.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supervise foremen to lead safe and efficient roof system installations
o Oversee field staff, assisting foremen with crew leadership
o Visit job sites daily
o Conduct or participate in daily safety audits
o Train field staff in safety, work skills and efficiency
o Provide ongoing feedback to foremen regarding job performance
o Resolve complains and grievances; assist with discipline when necessary
o Discuss opportunities for professional development
o Conduct annual performance reviews
o Recommend raises and promotions
· Ensure production and quality goals
o Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs
o Track labor hours and production against stated goals
o Schedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materials
o Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed
o Coordinate, supervise and manage subcontractors
o Monitor quality of installations
· Deliver excellent customer service
o Engage with customers to answer questions and provide explanations
o Schedule daily or weekly contact with customers to review progress
o Discuss any outstanding issues with customers and other parties
o Meet with customers to verify satisfaction with work and billing; deliver warranties
· Manage and coordinate job details between the field and office
o Review plans and sites, delegate crews and do all pre-job planning including but not limited to creating site-specific safety plans and work plan efficiencies
o Ensure crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobs
o Submit reports and paperwork and otherwise coordinate communication between office and job sites
o Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents and thefts, and provide relevant documents, photos and assessments to the office
o Deliver all documentation to the office in a timely manner
o Review final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billed
o Participate in manufacturer final inspection
· Exhibit exemplary leadership with all company personnel
o Participate in regular review meetings with project managers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Safety training: OSHA 30-hour card
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to use/learn business technology
· 2 years of roofing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bilingual fluency
· Specialized training: crane CCL, forklift, manufacturer-authorized trainers, man lift, rigging, roof system specific training, cool roofs, CERTA
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Must be a high-performing, innovative, values-driven, informed, and passionate individual.
WORK CONDITIONS
This position requires regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, and direct sunlight. Work is performed primarily at construction sites, often at heights on rooftops, ladders, or scaffolding. May involve working in noisy, dusty, or dirty environments. Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and fall protection harnesses. Frequently requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds. Travel between job sites is required. May involve early morning start times, long hours, and occasional weekend or evening work, depending on project needs and weather conditions.
Must be able to work safely and effectively in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
