We’re only looking for real closers. • This is NOT a passive order-taking job. This is an aggressive outbound sales, business development, account management, make-something-happen, opportunity with objective measurements and metrics, which will directly impact your compensation. • Members of our team must be able to operate in relative isolation from the rest of the team, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and still achieve highly objective performance measurements. • You must be tech-friendly (we’ll provide training for someone who wants to learn), highly organized, and very motivated to be successful. Responsibilities: • Manage own schedule to balance availability for meetings with prospective new clients as well as following up with potential new clients (PNCs) who said “no” and with current clients to conduct quality control calls and interviews. • Find and attend approved networking events to find prospects and referral sources, and cultivate those relationships consistent with firm goals and values. • Keep detailed notes in a centralized database. • Know and track your own metrics so you know whether you are on track to meet firm goals and your own. • Be a team player and cover for your fellow salespeople to help our firm help our prospective new clients find clarity around and relief from the situation that brought them to the firm in the first place. • Facilitate a professional introduction and transition to the legal team once the case has begun. • Actively engage in dialogue with management regarding the quality and volume of the leads, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement based on your “front lines” experience. • Utilize a consultative selling approach when conducting sales calls to illustrate the value and benefits of our services. • Update CRM system with details of all interactions with prospects, clients referral sources in a timely manner. • Regularly engage in skill development (provided by the firm) to keep improving your sales skills • Stay current with bar rules, legal industry trends, and information. Qualifications: • A strong interest in consultative solutions selling. You see sales as a service you perform for PNCs, not as something you are doing to them. • A proven track record utilizing a consultative sales approach. • A proven track record in telephone sales. • Demonstrated, proven success in lead generation, prospecting, contract negotiation, and closing customers. • Experience and proficiency with MS Excel; Experience with Mailchimp and Lawmatics is desirable but not required. • Self-motivating – you set short-term and long-term goals and use them to keep you engaged with your goals as well as firm goals. • Independent, self-starter who thrives on immersion in a rapidly changing environment, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Proactive, can-do attitude, with great follow-through and resourcefulness, along with attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be personable yet persistent. • Knowledge of the legal industry is an asset, but is not required. • Real-life experience & a few “battle scars” to give you empathy and understanding is an asset. • Experience with owning and running a business, overcoming a major obstacle in life, or making an important change in your life so you know at your core that others can do it too, is a plus.
