Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service CNC Programmer who is proficient in both offline and on-machine programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2D and 3D programming using Mastercam and be comfortable traveling to various customer sites to support machine setup, troubleshooting, and custom part programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop CNC programs offline using Mastercam for both 2D and 3D applications.
Make real-time program edits and optimizations directly at the machine control.
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to create efficient machining processes.
Work closely with machine operators and manufacturing engineers to ensure program accuracy and machining quality.
Install, debug, and optimize CNC programs at customer sites.
Provide technical support and training to operators and customers as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of programs and service activities.
Requirements:
3+ years of CNC programming experience, including on-machine editing and offline programming.
Proficiency in Mastercam for 2D and 3D programming is required.
Strong knowledge of G-code, tool paths, speeds, feeds, and multi-axis machining.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly for field service work.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a variety of CNC machines (mills, lathes, 3-axis, 5-axis, etc.).
Prior experience in a field service or job-shop environment.
