    SUMMARY

    You will be responsible for start-up, debugging, calibration, commissioning, standby, and servicing of control systems at end users’ sites.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    You may be required to perform any or all of the following duties. (Additional duties may be assigned.)

    • Review plans, specifications, and proposals to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
    • Works with engineering staff to coordinate proper field activities necessary to successfully deliver and complete assigned tasks.
    • Instrument calibration/configuration, hardware checkout, software debug, and customer training.
    • Document and maintain accurate records of job-related activities, releases, and correspondences, and provide accurate daily reports.
    • Implement design and programming modifications as required.
    • Advise Project Management of customer change requests or proposal discrepancies.
    • Hold and/or participate in Job-site Safety Meetings.
    • Assist engineering with returns of defective equipment.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Strong communication skills, written and oral
    • Use of personal computers and industrial programming devices
    • Knowledge of industrial controls
    • Understanding of the system or process to be controlled
    • Basic knowledge of HMI and PLC Programming
    • Exposure to electronics, electrical work, and/or computers through education, personal study or previous employment
    • Ability to perform calculations required to size components
    • Ability to perform work on time and within budget

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    An Associate’s degree in Engineering with exposure to electrical controls engineering, or pursuing a degree in Engineering with two years’ experience, or four years of related experience.

Our client will consider a candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, the salaries of current employees in similar roles, and other factors when extending an offer.
