    Job Summary

    We are seeking experienced Service Engineers to provide high-capability field service support for advanced CNC machine tools. This is a field-based role focused on technical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and maintaining high-end equipment. The role involves regional travel with a goal of technicians being home almost every night

    Responsibilities

    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on high-end CNC machines, including complex 5-axis issues, spindles, ball screws, bearings, and tolerance/accuracy problems.
    • Diagnose issues through machine controls (FANUC/Siemens) and traditional mechanical methods.
    • Handle kinematic compensation, volumetric accuracy troubleshooting, and overall machine condition diagnosis.
    • Service both new high-end equipment and older machines, including rebuilds.
    • Work independently on complex field issues while maintaining safety and avoiding costly mistakes.
    • Provide excellent customer service with a focus on rapid resolution and uptime.

    Requirements

    • Proven CNC machine tool service experience with strong mechanical and diagnostic capabilities.
    • Minimum FANUC control experience.
    • Ability to perform mechanical work on spindles, ball screws, bearings, and related components.
    • Strong problem-solving mindset, self-motivation, and comfort working independently.
    • Willingness to handle both high-end technical work and older machine service.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet regional travel requirements (typically 20-30%).

    Preferred Requirements

    • Siemens control experience (strongly preferred).
    • Experience with 5-axis machines.
    • Advanced knowledge of kinematic compensation, volumetric accuracy, and high-precision diagnostics.
    • Ability to be dispatched independently to the most complex spindle, tolerance, or accuracy issues.

    Compensation/Benefits

    • Base Salary: Flexible based on experience. Range typically $70,000–$130,000+
    • Additional Compensation: Company car or monthly car stipend, company credit card, paid off-site expenses, and per diem.

      • Health insurance (75% employer contribution for employee, 50% for dependents).
      • PTO: Typically 2–4 weeks depending on experience (flexible to match candidate’s current situation).
