Title: Field Service Engineer
Shift: M-F 7:30-4pm, with some weekends and holidays as necessary. This position requires 80%+ travel.
Salary: $90k+ annually
Field Service Engineer Role:
Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial equipment, including induction power supplies, furnaces, and PLCs. This position exists to provide essential on-site technical support and ensure the continuous, reliable operation of our clients' systems. This person needs to be within a commutable distance to Warren, OH.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain induction power supplies, coils, furnaces, refractory linings, busswork, and PLCs
- Service complex AC circuitry ranging from 480 to over 3000 VAC and DC circuitry from 680 to 3,000 VDC
- Maintain and troubleshoot water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and material handling systems
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
- Complete detailed service reports using Microsoft Word and expense reports using Microsoft Excel
- Travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to perform services at customer sites
- Uphold professional standards and act as the primary on-site representative for our client
- Train less experienced personnel as needed
Field Service Engineer Reporting Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Service Department Manager and does not have any direct reports.
About You:
- Possess a college degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in an industrial environment
- Are proficient with common electrical test equipment, including digital storage oscilloscopes, DMMs, and frequency generators
- Hold a valid driver's license and can maintain a US passport
- Have the ability to travel up to 80% of the time, with occasional continuous travel of more than four weeks
- Can analyze facts and use sound judgment to make decisions within standard practice
- Understand and adhere to all company procedures and safety protocols
- Can lift 70 pounds and work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, or smoky areas
