    What You’ll Do

    • Install, start up, calibrate, and qualify wafer grinding and substrate processing equipment at customer fabs
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and software issues in production and cleanroom environments
    • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and field modifications
    • Serve as the customer’s main technical contact for service requests and equipment concerns
    • Work with engineering and applications teams to find root causes and drive long-term fixes
    • Document installs, service work, and corrective actions clearly and on time

    What You Bring

    • 3+ years of field service or equipment support on capital manufacturing equipment
    • Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or mechatronics, or equivalent military or hands-on training
    • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, including software and controls
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
    • Comfort working independently at customer sites and communicating clearly with fab teams
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, including multi-week assignments
    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work around production equipment

    Nice to Have

    • Experience on wafer backgrinding, thinning, CMP, lapping, polishing, or dicing tools
    • Semiconductor fab or cleanroom experience, including SiC or compound semiconductor substrates
    • Knowledge of vacuum systems, pumps, fluid delivery, and precision mechanical assemblies
    • PLC, motion control, servo, robotics, or industrial networking experience
    • Customer-facing field service experience with an equipment OEM
    • Bachelor’s degree

    Is This You?

Strong candidates often come from semiconductor equipment OEM service teams, or are fab equipment technicians ready to move to the OEM side. This is not a fit if extended travel won’t work for you.
