    Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing packaging manufacturer and distributor with more than three decades of industry experience. Known for its continued investment in innovative products and advanced production capabilities, the organization offers differentiated solutions that provide a strong competitive advantage in the marketplace.

    They are seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Service Technician/Engineer to support continued growth in the Greater St. Louis area. This individual will play a key role in the installation, demonstration, and ongoing support of packaging equipment and systems, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and long-term performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform installation and setup of packaging equipment and systems at customer sites
    • Support product demonstrations both on-site and at internal facilities
    • Partner with sales and technical teams to support system implementation and customer success
    • Assist in light fabrication and customization of equipment components as needed
    • Collaborate with manufacturing partners on system design, including semi- and fully-automated solutions
    • Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales service support
    • Assist with installation and servicing of additional packaging equipment as required

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in a hands-on technical, maintenance, or field service role
    • Experience working with packaging equipment systems, including installation and service
    • Mechanical aptitude with basic fabrication skills (cutting, drilling, modifying components)
    • Working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and hydraulics
    • Experience with equipment setup, basic programming, and troubleshooting
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

    Additional Preferences (not required):

    • Technical degree or formal training
    • Experience with automated packaging systems or system design
    • Exposure to additional packaging equipment such as taping or form-fill-seal machinery
