    Wright Technical Services is supporting a leading automation team that delivers advanced cutting systems for the structural steel fabrication industry. This role is critical to ensuring customers experience maximum uptime through expert troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical support.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide global technical support through phone, email, and remote-access tools during standard business hours.

    • Perform on-site commissioning, training, troubleshooting, calibration, and production validation for automated cutting systems.

    • Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic subsystems using multimeters, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

    • Build strong customer relationships marked by professionalism, consistency, and urgency.

    • Support warranty service, maintenance contracts, and rapid issue resolution to minimize downtime.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally through meetings, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Experience

    • 2+ years of technical service, field service, maintenance, or industrial automation experience.

    • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and multimeter use.

    • Strong working knowledge of industrial automation, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and pneumatics.

    • Experience with robotic control systems (preferred).

    • Commissioning, start-up, or operator training experience for complex machinery (preferred).

    • Background supporting warranty work or service contracts (preferred).

    • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
