Field Service Supervisor - Commercial HVAC

Location: Skokie, IL Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: $45-$60/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Supervisor to lead and support our commercial HVAC service team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician ready to step into a leadership position or an experienced supervisor with a strong background in commercial systems.

The Field Service Supervisor will oversee field operations, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain quality standards, and mentor technicians to promote technical growth and consistent workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee commercial HVAC service and installation projects in the field

Provide hands-on technical support when needed

Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements

Mentor and train technicians to improve skill development and performance

Conduct quality control checks on completed jobs

Troubleshoot complex system issues and assist technicians with diagnostics

Coordinate with office staff to ensure efficient scheduling and workflow

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Required Experience & Qualifications

Extensive (7-10 years, hands-on) experience in commercial HVAC systems

Strong working knowledge of:

Boilers

Chillers

RTUs (Rooftop Units)

Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose commercial mechanical systems

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple jobs and technicians simultaneously

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
