    Job Description: Field Service Technician – Berne, IN

    Position Summary:

    Strong background in mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment on-site to ensure optimal performance.

    Travel Expectations:

    • Domestic (within U.S.) & Mexico: 50% - 60%
    • Internationally: 10% - 20%

    Starting Pay Range:

    • $27/hr. - $35/hr. base
    • There will be paid allowances & per diem for car, food, lodging, flights, etc.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment at customer locations.
    • Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their mechanical and electrical needs and provide technical support.
    • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to perform accurate repairs.
    • Keep detailed records of service activities, including maintenance logs and customer communication.
    • Provide daily field service reports during customer on-site work.
    • Provide on-call support for emergency repairs and technical issues.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to communicate feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.
    • Provide assistance to the assembly floor and participate in machine debugging.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance technical knowledge.
    • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working on-site.

    Experience Required:

    • 3-5 Years in a machine maintenance/field service experience

    Mandatory Qualification Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role.
    • Must be able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
    • Working knowledge in Windows and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Possess or able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
    • Extensive travel to customer sites is required, domestically and internationally.
