Job Overview
Service Technician opportunity based in Buffalo, NY with a highly regarded CNC Machine Tool company. Ideal candidate would be a current field service technician or a mechanically and/ or electrically inclined person willing to learn, a machinist or an individual in the manufacturing field. This role is an immediate opening due to service demand and expansion.
Duties
- Installation, troubleshooting, and repair on CNC machine tools such as 2 axis lathes and 3 axis mills with Fanuc controls
- Mechanical replacement, alignment and calibration of all major machine subassemblies such as spindle/ headstock, ballscrew, and tool turret/ post/magazine, servomotors.
- Electrical and electronic troubleshooting. Firm grasp of basic electrical control theory and industrial electronics.
- Interact directly with customers onsite, serving as a liasion with sales and home office to escalate and resolve customer issues and complaints.
Experience
- 3-5 years hands on experience in the repair and troubleshooting of computer-controlled industrial equipment.
- Or mechanically and / or electrically inclined individual willing to learn new concepts and techniques.
- Or a machinist.
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal communication skills
