JOB TITLE: Service Technician
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
SUMMARY: As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for operating commercial, residential and light industrial water treatment systems and performing scheduled preventive maintenance as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Locate sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation. Uses precision measuring and testing instruments.
Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment; using hand and power tools; replace defective parts and test for proper operation.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies on truck by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
Provide system information to customers by answering maintenance questions and educating customer on product.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing daily, weekly & monthly goals.
Assure service vehicle is clean, safe and in proper operation condition always.
Communicate with office staff frequently to ensure job accuracy and data entry
Able to use handheld devices for data entry, schedule maintenance, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid driver's license
Other skills required:
Basic plumbing and electrical experience
Mechanically inclined
Willing to work a full-time schedule and be on-call
