Position Summary: DST is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, service, and maintain Ergotron workstation and cart equipment. This role supports healthcare and IT environments, ensuring equipment is installed correctly, maintained efficiently, and performing reliably. Technicians will work both independently and as part of a project team delivering high-quality technical services in clinical and enterprise settings.
This is a remote position with 100% travel to project sites. Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening, and must hold a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service, and maintain Ergotron equipment, including powered carts, monitor mounts, and workstation components
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections in line with manufacturer specifications and DST maintenance plans
Safely remove and replace Ergotron cart handles with integrated electrical components
Reconnect and test electrical and data components to verify functionality and safety
Document all work performed, including serial numbers, photos, and issue reports
Follow proper safety procedures related to electrical handling, tool use, and infection control in healthcare environments
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations
Communicate effectively with project leads, clients, and maintenance staff to coordinate work and resolve technical issues
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring practices
Experience with medical carts, IT hardware, or technical field service work
Ability to read and follow installation guides, schematics, and technical documentation
Proficient with hand tools and small power tools
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working in active healthcare or IT environments
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or associate degree a plus but not required)
Strong attention to detail, dependability, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work with Ergotron or similar workstation and cart systems
Familiarity with healthcare safety and infection control standards
Basic troubleshooting of power supplies and connectivity components
