  • Responsibilities

    Wright Technical is currently supporting a top integration client who is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician in the Eastern US. This individual will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, advanced troubleshooting capability, and excellent customer-facing communication skills. They will join their North American Service Team supporting customers across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico through installation, maintenance, training, and service of industrial equipment.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Install aftermarket parts and products; test systems to ensure proper operation and performance
    • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance per service requests and work orders
    • Diagnose equipment issues and identify effective repair solutions
    • Educate customers on preventative maintenance schedules and best practices
    • Prepare quotes and sales orders for spare parts and consumables
    • Complete detailed service reports and documentation
    • Communicate service activity, findings, and proactive recommendations to customers
    • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
    • Travel domestically and internationally for training, installation, and service support
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
    • Assist in other operational areas as workload requires

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience
    • 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician (industrial environment)
    • Strong mechanical skills including:
      • Conveyor systems
      • Bearing replacement
      • Chain/sprocket systems
      • Wear part replacement
      • Equipment leveling and alignment
    • Strong electrical skills including:
      • Low-voltage troubleshooting
      • Electrical panels
      • 480V systems
    • Strong pneumatic systems experience
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
    • Familiarity with ABB and FANUC robotic systems
    • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, multimeter, and diagnostic equipment
    • Ability to work flexible hours based on customer schedules
    • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Willingness to travel approximately 75% annually throughout North America
    • Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
