Field Service Technician (Full-Time, Nationwide Travel) Location: Travel-Based | Pay: $50K Base + Uncapped Commission
Gordon Technical, a leading service provider in the asphalt testing industry for over 15 years, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our high-demand, customer-focused team.
In this role, you’ll service and maintain asphalt testing equipment (e.g., ovens, furnaces, presses, balances) at laboratories across the U.S. You’ll manage your own route of existing customers—labs we’ve proudly served for years but haven’t been able to revisit due to high demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel up to 75% of the time to perform calibration, maintenance, and repair work on testing equipment
Maintain strong customer relationships and help labs improve their testing accuracy
Operate and stock a company-provided service van
Collaborate with in-house support staff and fellow technicians
Qualifications:
2+ years in a technical or electronics-based role preferred (training available for the right candidate)
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and build rapport with clients
Comfortable with early mornings and frequent travel
