Field Service Technician - Injection Molding - Base Salary to 45.00/hour - Minneapolis, MN

• Our client, a leading injection molding equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the team.
• The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations within a designated territory to install, commission, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade injection molding presses and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, set-up, commissioning, and startup of injection molding machinery and injection molding presses
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine controls issues
• Perform equipment repairs, adjustments, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot injection molding equipment and diagnose machine performance and operating issues
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering drawings
• Provide technical support and equipment training to customers and internal sales personnel
• Document field service activities, repairs, maintenance, and equipment issues

Qualifications:

• 5+ years hands on experience servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, or commissioning injection molding machinery
• Advanced knowledge of the plastics injection molding process from start to finish
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues on injection molding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Ability to travel upwards of 50% within designated territory

Compensation:

• Base salary (paid hourly) in the 35.00 - 45.00/hour range
• Overtime, travel pay, and milage reimbursement also included
