Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee and manage daily field operations for heavy civil construction projects across the private, public, and municipal sectors. This role is fully on-site and requires regular travel to active job sites in and around the Tulsa area.
The Field Superintendent will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects involving wet utilities, mass excavation, land clearing, and site development are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and schedules.
Manage day-to-day field operations on heavy civil construction projects
Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
Oversee construction activities related to wet utilities, mass excavation, land clearing, grading, and full site development
Interpret and execute work per project plans, specifications, and schedules
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain efficient operations
Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans
Conduct daily jobsite inspections, safety meetings, and toolbox talks
Communicate project progress, issues, and needs to project managers and leadership
Monitor production rates, track progress, and assist with short- and long-term planning
Identify and resolve field issues, constructability challenges, and sequencing conflicts
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
Participate in preconstruction meetings, jobsite meetings, and inspections as required
Minimum 7–10 years of field supervision experience in heavy civil construction
Proven experience overseeing wet utilities, mass excavation, land clearing, and site development projects
Strong knowledge of private, public, and municipal construction standards and practices
Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, specifications, and schedules
Solid understanding of heavy equipment operations and earthwork production
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety-first construction practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must currently reside within a 40-mile radius of Tulsa, OK
Experience supervising multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
Familiarity with DOT, municipal, or public works projects
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
Background in civil construction operations or trade experience
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to walk job sites with uneven terrain for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
