About the Role
We’re growing our Survey Department and are looking to hire a Field Survey Technician to join our team. Whether you’re an experienced Party Chief or an Instrument Person looking to grow, this role offers long-term stability, hands-on mentorship, and a pathway to take on more responsibility, including the opportunity to lead a one-person crew.
What You’ll Do
- Support or lead daily field survey operations, including boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA surveys
- Operate survey instruments (GPS, total stations, data collectors) and perform accurate field measurements
- Download/upload field data and maintain clear, organized records
- Communicate with project managers, office staff, and clients as needed
- (For Party Chiefs) Manage junior crew members and ensure efficient project execution
- (For Instrument Operators) Learn the skills to operate independently with robotic total stations and GNSS systems
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in land surveying (Instrument Operator level)
- 4+ years for Party Chief level candidates
- Proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS equipment (Trimble or Leica preferred)
- Ability to read plans and work efficiently in the field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
