Job Title: Field Technical Trainer (Categories: Electrical, Hydraulic, or Machine Operations)
FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Learning and Development Manager
Flex Work Eligible! This position qualifies for the Flexible Work Policy. Employees receive 30 workdays annually to work remote! The initial amount of days is prorated for the first year based on start date.
General Description:
Primarily responsible for developing and equipping Assistant Operations Managers (AOMs) to become effective front-line trainers within their teams. This role will spend approximately 70% of its time facilitating "train-the-trainer" programs and technical training workshops. Additional time will be spent conducting needs assessments, auditing training effectiveness, refining materials, and supporting training administration. The ideal candidate brings strong instructional design and facilitation skills, practical technical experience, and a passion for enabling leaders to drive learning in the field.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education : Associate degree in business, education, relevant technical field, or equivalent
Experience : 3+ years of related training/compliance experience
Or 7+ years combining adult learning, competency frameworks, and OSHA/FRA safety applications in lieu of education.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and railroad regulations
• Experience as a trainer with functional understanding of rail machine operation and maintenance
• Experience developing, instructing, and sustaining training programs
• Excellent written and oral communication and influencing skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including extended, day/night, holiday, and weekend shifts
Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain and maintain railroad safety training/certifications
