About the Role:

Scope of Work: Provide field support for the Chemical Information System (CIS) inventory database for all chemicals stored at Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico (SNL/NM) using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) scanners.
Responsibilities:
Conduct field assessments and data collection for environmental projects.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment.
Perform site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of field activities.
Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively.
Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Communicate findings and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Daily job duties include, but not limited to the following:
Provide RFID chemical scanning support at various locations and labs throughout the SNL/NM complex.
Scheduling with SNL/NM customers for each RFID scan location.
Handling and working around chemicals within lab environments at each location.
Following procedures and onsite safety protocols.
Database entry and updates - upload of RFID scanning data.
General computing support - emails, Word and Excel documents (when needed).
RFID Scanner maintenance - Software monitoring.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in environmental science is a plus.
Previous experience in fieldwork or environmental services preferred.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a current DOE L-Clearance, or ability to get a Clearance.
