    Job Summary

    The Field Technician performs residential air duct, dryer vent, chimney, and insulation services while identifying and presenting additional solutions to customers. This role combines technical expertise with in-home sales, requiring technicians to educate homeowners, build trust, and close on upsell opportunities such as UV lights, sanitation, or insulation upgrades. The ideal candidate is eager, coachable, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to professionalism, safety, and consistent sales performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Service Execution: Perform air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, chimney inspections/repairs, and insulation installations, adhering to company SOPs and safety standards. Use tools and equipment efficiently while maintaining clean, organized work areas in customers’ homes.

    Customer Communication: Clearly explain service scope, processes, and recommendations to homeowners. Educate customers on issues identified during inspections and provide professional, trustworthy responses to inquiries.

    Sales & Upselling: Identify opportunities for additional services (e.g., insulation, UV lights, sanitation, chimney caps), present solutions using company-approved language and pricing, and meet or exceed upsell and close rate benchmarks.

    Job Documentation: Take before/after photos, upload them to the job file, and complete all notes, estimates, and status updates in the company CRM (e.g., Workiz) before leaving the site. Ensure all paperwork or digital invoices are accurate and signed if required.

    Vehicle & Equipment Management: Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized company van. Perform daily equipment checks, report malfunctions, and drive safely and professionally at all times.

    Key Skills and Qualifications

    Mechanically inclined with comfort using power tools (required).

    Strong verbal communication and customer service skills (required).

    Exceptional attention to detail in service execution and documentation (required).

    Eager, coachable, and adaptable with a willingness to learn.

    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on-site.

    Physically capable of working in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders.

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required).

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

    Education and Experience

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    At least 1 year of experience in HVAC, air duct cleaning, insulation, or a similar field is preferred but not required. Hands-on training provided for the right candidate.

    Additional Requirements

    Ability to reliably commute to our office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

    Availability to work full-time hours, including Saturdays.

    Comfortable with physical labor and field-based work.

    No special certifications or licenses required.

    Compensation

    Pay Structure: 100% commission-based pay per job completed, with expected earnings of $6,000 to $15,000 per month.

    Bonuses: Weekly performance bonuses based on job completion and sales performance.

    Additional Information

    We provide a company van for daily use after training, along with all necessary tools and equipment.
