Position Summary: Ross Technical Services Inc. (RTS) is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician to join our growing water and wastewater services team. This role involves working with a small crew to install, remove, and monitor flow devices in manholes across Baltimore and surrounding counties. Flow monitoring is an essential procedure by collecting data for evaluating and characterizing wet-weather and dry-weather flow conditions throughout a municipality. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and basic construction experience who are looking to build a long-term career in environmental services.
Responsibilities:
Install and remove flow monitoring equipment in manholes
Monitor and maintain flow devices for accurate data collection
Perform work safely and comfortably in confined spaces
Accurately complete daily logs and data sheets
Strictly follow safety guidelines, including OSHA and First Aid procedures (training provided)
Communicate effectively with team members and maintain professional interactions with the public
Participate in in-house and external professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
Must be physically capable of lifting and working in outdoor and confined space environments
High School diploma or GED
At least one year of experience in municipal or general construction preferred
Clear background and driving record
Willingness to learn flow monitoring techniques and procedures
Ability to work extended or irregular hours when needed
Basic computer skills

Benefits:
Hourly pay: $19.00 to $25.00
