Key Responsibilities

· Welding Tasks: Execute welding operations (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) to fabricate, repair, or modify metal components in accordance with project specifications.

· Equipment Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of equipment and welded structures to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.

· Technical Support: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to diagnose issues, provide solutions, and ensure project success.

· Material Preparation: Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for welding, ensuring precision and adherence to technical drawings or blueprints.

· Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining safe work environments in the field.

· Documentation: Accurately record service activities, welding work, and materials used for project tracking and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding, mechanical systems, or a related field preferred.

· Experience: 2+ years of experience as a field technician or in a similar role, with demonstrated welding expertise in industrial, construction, or maintenance settings.

· Skills:

o Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) and familiarity with metal fabrication processes.

o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical systems.

o Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with clients and colleagues in field settings.

· Certifications: AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent welding certification is a plus; relevant technical certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training) preferred.

· Attributes: Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently in various field conditions, including remote locations or adverse weather.
