    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Account Executive is responsible for sales and revenue growth in a geographic territory. This role will use solution selling skills, along with a strong understanding of the industry, and achieve the assigned quota attainment of new revenue from selling software, training and other business services. This role is expected to hunt and close new business while also engaging in client satisfaction and retention efforts.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage revenue growth within a multi-state territory selling SaaS solutions to business clients
    • Achieve designated quotas and meet assigned performance expectations
    • Identify new sales opportunities through lead generation, cold-calling, networking, etc.
    • Employ assertive and effective sales techniques
    • Acquire new clients, retain current clients and enhance the company’s strong brand image
    • Manage clients through the entire sales cycles and negotiate/close deals
    • Maintain an up to date sales funnel in the CRM and comply with CRM policies and procedure
    • Attend tradeshows and industry events
    • Escalate pricing, SLA or other issues as needed
    • Assist with post-sales support and implementation as needed
    • Participate in customer renewal/retention activities
    • Collaborate with Sales/Systems Engineering, Customer Success and other teams
    • Maintain a high level of knowledge on all products, programs and promotions
    • Travel extensively within, and occasionally outside of, an assigned territory (post-Covid)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems or related field (preferred)
    • 5+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience
    • 3+ years of experience selling software (SaaS) solutions (preferred)
    • Proven experience successfully managing and growing a large sales territory
    • Experience meeting and exceeding a monthly or quarterly sales quotas
    • Experience selling in the K-12 education industry (preferred)
    • Persistent and creative; able to close deals and thrive under pressure
    • Software solutions knowledge
    • Self-starter with proven time management skills
    • High business acumen with strong communication skills
