    SCRUM MASTER AND BUSINESS ANALYST

    Studio City based SaaS company that serves the entertainment industry is seeking a Scrum Master to join our growing team. This role supports the development teams by serving as both a scrum master and a business analyst (SM/BA). The SM/BA will work closely with other scrum master(s) and counterparts in other departments to ensure that projects are following agile best practices and to provide coaching to the whole organization.

    The SCRUM MASTER (SM) RESPONSIBILITIES of this role include leading all scrum ceremonies, coaching the team and the organization on scrum and agile best practices, monitoring and enabling sprints to be successful, mitigating any impediments efficiently, actively communicating across the organization, and working close with other scrum master(s) to ensure alignment and efficiency.

    The BUSINESS ANALYST (BA) RESPONSIBILITIES of this role include supporting the Product Owner(s) by proactively initiating, facilitating and managing requirements gathering, design and grooming of new features. The SM/BA will work closely with software engineers, quality assurance engineers, business counterparts and/or clients to convert requirements into design specifications, actionable user stories, mock ups, flow charts, functional diagram etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in working as a Scrum Master for at least a year for a software development team that was applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Scrum Master certification preferred
    • Experience in working as a Business Analyst creating artifacts such as user stories, requirements, wireframes etc.
    • Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and requirements
    • Excellent planning, organizational, time management and verbal and written communication skills
    • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, coaching and increasing transparency
    • Ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users and business concepts to the technical team
    • Ability to critically evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements and uncover areas for improvement. The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
    • Drive to proactively gather information from various stakeholders and produce actionable outputs to enable efficient development pipeline

    IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE

    • Experience with JIRA and Bamboo
    • Experience with financial accounting concepts
    • Experience with business models used in the entertainment industry
