Commercial Concrete Estimator – BWG Concrete

We are a growing commercial concrete contractor that has proudly served the Greater Tampa Bay area for several years. We are built on a foundation of quality, integrity, and teamwork. Due to continued growth, we are excited to add two Estimators to our dedicated team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking two experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Estimators to play a crucial role in our company's continued success. You will be responsible for bidding on new commercial concrete projects, developing accurate cost estimates, and helping us win the work that fuels our growth. This is primarily an in-office role with occasional site visits for pre-bid meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial concrete projects.

Perform detailed quantity take-offs for concrete, rebar, formwork, and other related materials.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.

Develop comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for clients.

Identify potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

Maintain and build relationships with general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Conduct site visits for pre-bid meetings as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with a strong focus on estimating.

Expertise in estimating commercial concrete projects is a significant plus.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and costs.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Experience with estimating software is preferred. (We use ProEst, but experience with this specific software is not required — we are happy to train the right person. We have also used Planswift in the past.)

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team and clients.

A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.
