    Job Description

    Seeking a strong Finance resource to lead the accounting function and provide financial oversight across AP, AR, general ledger, month-end close, reporting, controls, and team leadership.

    This is a higher-level leadership role ideal for a hands-on, strategic accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, construction or project-based accounting experience, and the ability to lead a growing accounting team in a fast-paced global environment.

    • Lead and manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll-related accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
    • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
    • Manage and develop an accounting team, including direct oversight of AP, AR, staff/senior accountants, and accounting leadership.
    • Prepare, review, and present financial statements, management reports, variance analyses, and key financial metrics.
    • Provide accurate accounting information and analysis to support Finance leadership.
    • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and workflow efficiencies.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning initiatives.
    • Assist with managing audit preparation, tax support, compliance reporting, and coordination with external advisors.
    • Partner with operational teams to reinforce accounting policies, documentation standards, cut-off requirements, and other accounting best practices.
    • Own resolution of accounting and close-related issues, independently researching discrepancies, identifying root causes, and developing recommended solutions before escalation.
    • Establish clear ownership, standardized processes, close calendars, reconciliation standards, and accountability across the accounting function.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
    • Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience required.
    • Experience managing an accounting team required.
    • Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, general ledger, internal controls, and audit support.
    • Commercial construction, construction services, project-based accounting, or global company experience strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, job costing, WIP reporting, and cost controls.
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/accounting system experience.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
