Job Purpose:
LegalEASE is seeking an experienced Finance Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and serve as a key partner to the Controller. In this highly visible role, you will lead a small accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, support close processes, and help drive process improvements and internal controls across the department. This position offers meaningful responsibility and a clear path for professional growth.
What you will do:
Oversee routine accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
Manage timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, financial schedules, and account reconciliations.
Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately four accounting staff.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, high‑performing team culture.
Drive best practices, internal control improvements, and process efficiency.
Support system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and communicate financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience managing or leading a team.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience.
Experience in a growing or multi‑entity environment.
Familiarity with ERP or mid‑market accounting systems.
CPA designation in progress or interest in pursuing CPA.
