    Job Description

    BOOKKEEPER –PART TIME

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Creates financial transactions and generates reports to include posting AP & AR in company accounting software from invoices to customers, cash receipts and vendor invoices. Reporting all employee payroll information to the company’s designated payroll company. Keeps principal up to date on a weekly basis of the company’s financial standing.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Purchase office and operating supplies

    · Pay vendor invoices in a timely manor

    · Make bank reconciliations

    · Record Cash Receipts and make bank deposits

    · Create and send to banker monthly borrowing base

    · Review and consider taking all supplier discounts on invoices

    · Administer group benefits and prepares weekly payroll along with reporting employee time off to payroll company

    · Meets weekly with Dealer principal to update on cash flow and general company financial profile

    · Creates Monthly P&L Statement

    · Meet weekly with Account Coordinators to review what projects are in the system

    · Create with the Account Coordinators accurate customer invoices along with sending the invoices out as soon as a project has completed

    · Collect sales taxes from customers, remitting them to the government

    · Ensure all receivables are collected promptly and calling if overdue

    · Creates monthly P&L statements sending them to the dealer principal

    · Creates a monthly commission report for each sales person sending it to the dealer principal

    · Reports, MHEC, 0FF38 sales as requested by the contracts

    · Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company end of year financial statements and tax returns

    · Tag & monitor fixed assets once a year

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Minimum 2-year associates degree in accounting or business administration

    · Knowledge of QuickBooks

    · 5 -7 years’ Experience in a similar role

    · Strong organizational skills

    · Exceptionally detailed oriented

    · Ability to work in a complex fast paced environment
