This is more than a finance role—it’s an opportunity to contribute to a well-respected nonprofit doing meaningful work every day.
The Impact You’ll Make
Financial Leadership & Stewardship
Prepare and clearly communicate monthly and annual financial reports that support informed decision-making
Partner with the Executive Director on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support high-impact programs
Manage cash flow and financial forecasting to ensure organizational stability
Lead the annual audit process and collaborate with external auditors and the Board Finance Committee
Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
Strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and accounting practices
Translate financial data into insights that help non-finance leaders understand and act
Human Resources & Organizational Support
Oversee HR operations with a people-first, compliance-focused approach
Manage recruiting, onboarding, and off-boarding to create a consistent and welcoming employee experience
Maintain HR files, organizational structure, and employment policies
Update and manage the Employee Manual and internal procedures
Support leadership with administrative and operational needs as the organization evolves
This is a dynamic role that will adapt as The Caring Place grows—ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and making a tangible difference.
What We’re Looking For
A deep alignment with the mission and values of The Caring Place
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
7–10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years in financial and operations management
Prior ownership of financial reporting, audits, and budgeting for a nonprofit or significant program
Experience overseeing or supporting Human Resources functions
Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial colleagues
Grants management experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with accounting software, ideally QuickBooks Online
High integrity, initiative, and a collaborative leadership style
Why This Role Matters

If you’re looking for a position where your skills directly support a mission you can believe in—and where your work truly impacts lives—this could be a meaningful next step.
