Finance Intern (SSO)- Summer 2026
Provide financial support with Turner Shared Services. Duties may include any specific accounting functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Reconciliation, and Payroll.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Facilitate timely and accurate data entry processing.
• Process documents with understanding of policy requirements.
• Process applications and cash receipts, banking, process accounts receivable transactions.
• Complete transactional activities for processing intercompany charges.
• Perform general ledger journal entries, record and reconcile cash activity, report unclaimed cash and joint venture consolidation.
• Prepare daily cash activity including deposits and outgoing wires.
• Run monthly reports, assist with preparation of reconciliations and necessary journal entries.
• Perform month end closing activities including verifying ledgers for accuracy.
• Provide shared services assistance for all financial processes and timely communication with profit centers, vendors, customers, and third party affiliates.
• Maintain general ledger transactions including intercompany charges, fixed assets, sales & use tax, and PP&E.
• Assist in preparation of application for payment.
• Assist in vendor set-up and validation
• Process accounts payable transactions
• Prepare and review of tax returns, assist in tax compliance and reporting, research, and document retention.
• Review AP invoice and check void requests
• Process employee expense reports submitted through the Concur system, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Enrolled in 4-year college or university offering accredited and credentialed degree program; recommended majors include, and not limited to, Accounting or Finance, with at least 1 year of education and knowledge of finance or equivalent
• Must be willing to work standard work week
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including student leadership, volunteerism, or other community involvement
• Passionate and willing to learn about overall Turner Finance business strategy, culture and core values
• Assume personal and professional responsibilities for own actions and activities
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to tackle new projects and ideas, flexible, adaptable, adaptable and with attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills with ability to document and manage accurate and timely information
• Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer data entry, database and MS Office skills, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
