Aligned Solutions is seeking a Finance Manager (ERP & Costing) for a well-respected company. The role partners closely with operations to ensure accurate costing, scalable processes, and actionable financial insights, with a strong focus on systems optimization and internal efficiency rather than external reporting or audits.
Position Summary:
The Finance Manager (ERP & Costing) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the accounting team, and leading financial analysis, product/job costing, and ERP ownership. This role bridges accounting, operations, and systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, scalable processes, and actionable insights for leadership in a global manufacturing environment.
This position is internally focused and does not manage external audits, lender or investor relationships, or global tax matters. Instead, it is centered on operational finance, costing accuracy, and continuous improvement through systems and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Analysis
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules with a strong focus on manufacturing performance
- Lead product and job costing, including cost structure setup, margin analysis, and variance analysis
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate costing and profitability reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysis
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational performance
- Develop and maintain Work in Process and Completed Job Schedules and track associated costs accordingly.
Accounting Operations & Team Management
- Manage and develop the accounting team (AR, AP, payroll reporting, and general ledger)
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial data for completeness and accuracy
- Manage payroll reporting and reconciliation in coordination with HR/payroll providers
- Establish and enforce internal controls within the accounting department
- Improve workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures
ERP Ownership & Systems Leadership
- Serve as the business owner of the ERP system for finance, costing, and accounting processes
- Lead ERP implementation, upgrades, and system enhancements related to finance and operations
- Configure and maintain chart of accounts, cost centers, job costing structures, and reporting hierarchies
- Translate business and operational requirements into ERP solutions
- Partner with IT, operations, and external vendors on integrations and data integrity
- Develop and maintain ERP-based financial reports, dashboards, and analytics
- Train accounting and operational users on ERP processes and best practices
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using ERP functionality
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial systems
- Strengthen internal controls to support scalability and risk management
- Continuously improve close efficiency, reporting quality, and system usage
Work Scope Exclusions

- Global tax compliance or coordination

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Macc, CPA or CMA preferred)
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
- Proven experience with product costing and/or job costing
- Hands-on ERP experience (implementation, optimization, or system ownership)
- Prior experience managing or leading an accounting team
- Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
