Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and decision support for manufacturing operations business unit within a large global organization. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, responsible for owning the budgeting and forecasting process, providing deep cost and variance analysis, and partnering closely with operations and senior leadership to drive financial performance.
This role requires a CPA-certified finance professional with strong manufacturing finance expertise who can translate complex financial data into actionable insights that improve profitability, capital efficiency, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance reviews to senior leadership, including analysis of results versus budget and forecast.
Perform in-depth analysis of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead; investigate standard cost variances and identify cost improvement opportunities.
Act as a strategic finance partner to operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to support data-driven decisions and operational initiatives.
Support month-end close activities related to FP&A, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of changes in volume, pricing, product mix, and cost structures.
Evaluate capital investment proposals and strategic initiatives; build ROI, NPV, and payback analyses to support investment decisions.
Provide financial leadership on cross-functional projects and deliver ad hoc analysis to support business strategy and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
Accounting degree, CPA preferred
7–10 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting, with significant focus on FP&A in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and U.S. GAAP
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Highly analytical, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
CMA or additional relevant certifications
Experience supporting multi-plant or global manufacturing operations
Familiarity with planning and budgeting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Workday)
Exposure to Lean manufacturing or operational excellence initiatives from a financial perspective
