About this Role:
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our U.S. team based in Bellevue, WA. This role will play a critical part in ensuring tax and financial compliance, optimizing financial processes, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential and strong experience in international trade, cross-border taxation, and financial systems is strong a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure tax and financial compliance across North America on both online and offline channels. Proactively identify and mitigate tax-related risks with a deep understanding of the local business model.
· Continuously improve accounts receivable (AR) and payable (AP) workflows. Strengthen reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial and management reports.
· Deliver monthly business performance analyses (e.g., GMV, gross margin, inventory turnover) and provide in-depth financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Build a dynamic budget and cost management framework. Monitor ROI and flag anomalies to ensure optimal resource allocation toward high-efficiency business initiatives.
· Lead integration between ERP systems and business operations. Design and implement localized financial workflow (e.g., payment collections, platform deductions, overseas warehouse inventory accounting, revenue-sharing mechanisms) to improve automation and data accuracy.
· Establish financial SOPs tailored to the business model. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient and compliant process execution.
· Collaborate closely with the group finance team, overcoming challenges related to time zone, language, and cultural differences, ensuring seamless global financial operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related fields;
· Minimum 5 years of general ledger experience, with at least 3 years of international trade or e-commerce preferred.
· Solid knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and experience in cross-border tax or international accounting.
· Familiarity with end-to-end finance operations in international trade (e.g., platform settlement cycles, foreign exchange gains/losses, overseas warehouse cost allocation).
· Strong data modeling skills using Excel and BI tools, with the ability to leverage ERP systems for integrated business-finance data reporting.
· Strong business acumen with the ability to extract insights from financial data and identify underlying business issues.
· High level of confidentiality and strong financial ethics.
· Proficient in Mandarin and English for daily business communication.
· Demonstrated experience in building cross-border financial systems from the ground up.
· CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is a strong plus.
