Finance Operations Specialist – Buyer | $29-$36 CAD / $22-$27 USD | Remote (US & Canada)

Join a fast-paced, dynamic finance team as a Finance Operations Specialist – Buyer supporting North America! This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet fast-evolving environment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring purchasing accuracy, vendor compliance, and month-end execution—while working cross-functionally with teams via Slack, email, and Oracle systems.

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/week Contract-to-Hire potential

Flexible hours 8-5, 9-6, 7-4: requires 2-3 hours during evenings for month-end close

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist in the full procurement lifecycle: from requisitions to purchase orders, ensuring policy alignment and accurate documentation
• Partner with internal requestors and vendors to gather details, perform due diligence, and ensure proper reporting
• Review and reconcile outstanding invoices to prevent delays in processing
• Coordinate the purchase of hardware and software from various approved vendors
• Monitor Slack and email channels, responding promptly to purchasing requests
• Own key responsibilities during month-end close cycles, including after-hours availability on the final day of the month
• Support purchasing-related projects as needed

What You Bring:

• 2-3 years of Financial Ops/Buyer experience
• Proficiency in Oracle (iProcurement module) is required
• Previous experience as a Buyer in a fast-paced ecommerce or technology environment is preferred
• A detail-oriented mindset with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to evolving priorities
