Responsibilities: Maintain up to date reconciled financial records such as disbursements, third party payments, receipts, invoices, credit card transactions, and expense vouchers in accounting software Assist the accounting department by completing clerical duties and providing general clerical support Input verified data such as mortgager name, legal description, loan number, loan amount, and payment amount into accounting software Compute reports that include monthly payments, taxes, interest, principal, and insurance for real estate mortgage loans Document accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and bank deposits in the general ledger Qualifications: 10-key data entry and computer experience, especially Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks are needed GED, high school diploma, or equivalent is required; some college is helpful Organization and multitasking skills are essential Proven accounting experience is necessary; previous experience in human resources, or as a securities clerk, control clerk, or staff accountant is valuable Keen attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills are assets Compensation: $16 - $18 per hour
